The Client's Need:

How to create a defined entry to laboratories from the hospital, while utilizing precious infill space.

The Process:

Make a conference room, that when not in use can give the sense of expanded lobby space.  Curtains can be drawn when conferences are in session.

The Result:

Lovely existing brickwork was emphasized by placing a skylight over and a planter in front.  The skylight also signified entry.  Use of curved glass and glass entry gave a sense of openess to a very small lobby.
