New Addition and
Renovation to a 1922 brick building with a 1987 addition to the back, will tighten and bring greater efficiencies to the existing, while adding a super-insulated addition to house Young Adult and Children's Areas.

The Addition "talks" with the existing by paying respect to some of its best features without copying them.

The interior is highly flexible with movable furniture and an operable glass partition between the renovated and new areas. The librarian commands a view of most areas.  The east facing round window generates interior alcoves that can remind one of a boat.
